Green technology for land management & food production
This workstream is led by Plumpton College
Plumpton College centres on transitioning land management towards the zero carbon agenda. Project activity will encompass the development of resources which are applicable to the agriculture, horticulture, viticulture and kelp sectors.
Over 130 employers were consulted in the preparation of the workstream which has enabled it to focus on the needs of local industries and the promotion of local employment opportunities. Also included is major investment in a training centre, in the re-purposing of glasshouse estate and the commissioning of specialist expertise and learning material for all colleges.
