Developing carbon literacy and awareness
The aim of this project is to raise awareness of carbon literacy through the development of learning resources for the teaching of the Carbon Literacy and Sustainability qualification.

Electric vehicle technology
This ambitious project will establish five hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) technology training centres of excellence located in East, West and central Sussex and in Brighton and Hove. Additionally, one centre for landbased industries’ electric powered vehicles/plant will be set up.

Alternative energies and hydrogen technology
The objective of this project is to devise and implement a multi-stranded curriculum for the teaching of alternative energy sources and resources. Included in the project are electricity generation by wind, hydrogen powered heating and other alternative energy sources.

Green Technology for land management & food production
This project centres on transitioning land management towards the zero carbon agenda. It includes the development of resources applicable to the agriculture, horticulture, viticulture and kelp sectors.
Major investment will be made in establishing agrifood centres to support horticultural production technology.

De-carbonisation academies
The outcome of this project will be the development of five centres of excellence for the teaching of de-carbonisation within the construction industries.
To support this the centres will be equipped with the latest specialist resources to enable the re-training of construction industry employees.
