De-carbonisation academies
This large and complex workstream is led by East Sussex College Group (ESCG)
The outcome of this workstream will be a network of decarbonisation academies in Sussex to support retrofitting and green energy installation in the construction industry.
Comprising five centres of excellence specialist equipment will be deployed across each enabling the training of staff and students. Over 25 local construction company employers have contributed to the development strategy of the project workstream which has the aim of upskilling existing construction employees and providing additional employment and specialist trade skill opportunities. Specialist curriculum is being written and digitised for commonality of teaching standards across all of the centres.
